Day 17: ‘Church-hopping’ in Iloilo

Aside from Miagao Church, Iloilo City has other interesting churches. On our way to Miagao, we passed along several old churches. One of the churches that appealed to me is the Molo Church due to its Gothic architecture. It is also known as Sta. Ana Parish. As we have visited it on a Sunday, I was not able to look inside due to an ongoing mass.

Day 16: Iloilo DIY Trip – Visiting Miagao Church

Even though I’m not a Roman Catholic, I always make it a point to visit an old church where I go. As the Philippines has been colonized by Spain for more than 300 years, I could say that the Philippines has plenty of these churches. My trip to Iloilo has proven this as it is famous for old churches and old houses. One of the churches that can be found in Iloilo is the Miagao Church.

Day 15: Iloilo – Guimaras Trip

Iloilo City, aside from being known as the City of Love, is also known for its old churches, old houses and of course, La Paz Batchoy. Being a foodie that I am, I originally planned my trip to be for culinary purposes only. However, my colleague who grew up in this city and a couple I met while in Palawan convinced me otherwise. Even the typhoon Luis (international name: Kalmaegi) and the 3-hour delayed flight were not able to stop me.
